The University of Surabaya

 

Founded in 1968, the University of Surabaya (Ubaya) is long positioned to be one of the leading private universities in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region demonstrated by an "A" (the highest possible accreditation score) Institutional Accreditation score from the Indonesian National Accreditation Board of Higher Education.

 

Offering 8 faculties, the university provides first-class facilities with generous teaching and research support for its 12,000 students. It is known as the multicultural campus as the students come from all 34 provinces in Indonesia and apply "Learning beyond the Classroom" delivery method to give the real hands-on experience to students.

 

For a decade, Ubaya enjoys strong international exposure through active international programs demonstrated by a total of hundreds of foreign students and academicians regularly visit Ubaya to study and deliver lectures for short or long period.

 

 

CAMPUS

 

Ubaya has 3 “Leafy Green” campuses at Ngagel, Tenggilis, and Trawas.

 

Campus I Ngagel

It stands on the 1-hectare land and is used for Office of the Rector, Ubaya Foundation office, Ubaya Polytechnic, and several other administrative units.

 

Campus II Tenggilis

It stands on the 15-hectare land and is used for Undergraduate and Postgraduate class activities of all the faculties.

 

Campus III Trawas (commonly called as Ubaya Integrated Outdoor Campus - IOC)

Ubaya Campus III Trawas is very unique campus, well known as a Leafy Green and Environmental friendly campus. It stands on the 36-hectare land and is located at Tamiajeng Village, Trawas, approximately 1.5 hour driving from Surabaya city. The campus cultivates the nature and implementation of effective & optimum nature conservation. The operation of Campus III Trawas signifies the intention of Ubaya to integrate outdoor learning activities, development, and productive collaboration with the community, nature conservation, recreation, and business.
